About CPC Calculator

An independent, unofficial resource built for Central Government employees, defence personnel, CAPF and pensioners.

Last updated: 1 Oct 2026

Who we are

CPC Calculator is an independent, privately-run informational website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of India, the Ministry of Finance, the Department of Expenditure, the Department of Personnel & Training, or the 8th Central Pay Commission.

Our goal is to explain the 8th Central Pay Commission in plain language, provide useful estimation tools, and help employees and pensioners understand what is officially confirmed versus what remains speculation.

Why this site exists

Every time a Pay Commission is constituted, an enormous volume of contradictory information circulates. Fitment factor figures range wildly, "effective dates" are announced and cancelled, and staff-association demands are often presented as if they were official. This is confusing and, at worst, misleading.

We built this site to give employees a single, clear reference point: what a Pay Commission is, what it can and cannot change, what has been officially reported, and most importantly what remains unknown.

What we publish

  • Calculators — Revised Pay, DA, Take-Home, Arrears, Pension and Gratuity each on its own page with a full assumptions panel.
  • Reference tables — a complete 7th CPC Pay Matrix, a projected 8th CPC view, and comparisons across previous commissions.
  • News & updates — a chronological feed, tagged by source type with verified or unverified labels.
  • Explainers — plain-language articles on fitment factors, DA treatment, and NPS/UPS interaction.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish official Government of India notifications. We link to them.
  • We do not claim to know the final fitment factor, effective date, or any other number that has not yet been officially notified.
  • We do not provide legal, financial or service advice.
  • We do not act on behalf of any staff association or union.

How we make money

This site is free to use. It is currently fully independent and displays no third-party advertising. If we ever accept advertising in future, it will be clearly labelled and editorially separated from content.
