Rules Governing CEA
Under 7th CPC rules (DoPT OM No. 27012/02/2017-Estt.(AL)), CEA is payable at ₹2,250 per month (₹27,000/year) per child. When DA reached 50% on 1 January 2024, the rate automatically escalated by 25% to ₹2,812.50 per month (₹33,750/year) per child. Hostel subsidy escalated to ₹8,437.50 per month (₹1,01,250/year) per child.
