About the MACP Scheme

The Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACP) guarantees three financial upgradations to Central Government employees after completion of 10, 20, and 30 years of continuous service, provided the employee has not received three regular promotions during this period. Under 7th CPC rules, upgradation is granted to the immediate next higher level in the Pay Matrix.
