About Night Duty Allowance (NDA) Rules
Night duty is defined as work performed between 22:00 hours and 06:00 hours. Under 7th CPC recommendations, NDA is calculated using a uniform hourly rate formula: (Basic Pay + DA) ÷ 200.
Per DoPT instructions dated 13th July 2020, basic pay for NDA calculation is capped at a maximum ceiling of ₹43,600 per month (Level 6 entry pay).
